A very large majority of people that enter the world of Internet Marketing fail; I will share with you the main reason behind this and how you can avoid failure by building a list you can sell to.
So first of all let’s start with why so many people fail…well it’s because they pursue people like crazy! They are new to the internet marketing industry and are so desperate to make their first sale they put people off from joining their business or buying their product with their over enthusiasm and non stop selling tactics!
If all you do is bang on at people about why your product is the best thing since sliced bread and come over as desperate people will NOT buy from you…FACT. Now why is this, well it is because you look completely unprofessional for starters and most importantly if your product/home business opportunity was so good then you wouldn’t have to shout about it from the rooftops to generate leads…surely the product would do that itself!
So you’re probably thinking to yourself now how do you go from broke and desperate to someone that has prospects calling them up, making the list building process a piece of pie…well here you go:
Straight away forget the idea of chasing people for their money, even if you do need money do not make it apparent!
This is done by branding yourself as a leader within your market by giving valuable information relating to your market, this comes in the form of articles, blog posts, videos etc. You do not have to of been involved with your market for years to have valuable knowledge that can help somebody who has no experience.
By teaching people and giving valuable information about your market you gain status amongst people that are considering joining your market (prospects). If you do a video on Seach Engine Optimization anyone considering joining an Internet Marketing business will look up to you as if you’ve done a video on the subject then you must know your stuff.
By branding yourself rather than your product people will want to hear more from you and will be willing to provide you their details (email address etc) in order to find out more about yourself. This is exactly how list building works. It might seem easy as pie and it is, however so many Internet Marketers do not do this, instead they use sell,sell,sell tactics that do not attract anyone!
People will want to hear more from you because it’s human nature for everyone who isn’t a leader (prospects) to want to join someone who is (you) as you can provide them with help, support and advice that they need. The reason I have such knowledge in Internet Marketing is because my mentor was a successful Internet Marketer that shared his knowledge with me.
If you give valuable information and deliver it with confidence people will look up to you and want to do join you business/buy your product. This is the key to list building.
